The Blessings of Discipleship: A Powerful Beginning On January 18, 2025.
6 Days With The HolyGhost. (6DWTHG) began the year with its first outreach at Oloruntedo, Abeokuta, themed “The Blessings of Discipleship. It was a remarkable start to the year, as the team moved in obedience to God’s instruction to revisit places previously evangelized. Upon arrival, the team was met with great hospitality and an undeniable eagerness from the people to receive from God. The atmosphere was charged with expectation, and it was evident that God had prepared the hearts of the people for a divine encounter. Indeed, the outreach proved to be significant, as God moved mightily and drew the hearts of many unto Himself. The outreach began with earnest prayers by the team, committing the meeting into God’s hands and asking Him to take absolute control. The opening prayer ushered everyone into a moment of reverence, followed by a powerful session of praise and worship. Hymns were sung as an expression of deep honor to God, and intercessory prayers were offered with hunger, faith, and conviction, affirming that we truly serve a living God who hears and answers prayers. The highlight of the outreach was the Word, delivered under a strong unction by God’s servant, Mr. Olalekan Kola. Preaching on the theme “The Blessings of Discipleship,” he taught that a disciple is one who truly follows Jesus, not merely a churchgoer, but one who loves God and lives in obedience to Him. Quoting from John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” he emphasized that Jesus is the only way to the Father and the only path to true salvation. He reminded the people that while men may fail, Jesus never fails. He further explained that many seek solutions in the wrong places, yet the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. In contrast, Jesus came to give life and to destroy the works of darkness. He stressed that becoming a disciple begins with confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior and believing in one’s heart that He died and rose again, as seen in Romans 10:8–10. The message deeply impacted the people, and many were touched by the power of God’s Word. An altar call was made, and prayers were offered for those who willingly surrendered their lives to Christ. The new converts were encouraged to remain steadfast by joining a Bible-believing church, continuing in fellowship, and abiding in the Word of God.The ministration continued with prayers for the sick and prophetic declarations over the land. God’s servant prayed for divine intervention, commanding sickness to leave and speaking blessings over the community, all to the glory of God. Truly, God is faithful, and He confirms the words of those He sends. The outreach at Oloruntedo stands as a testimony of His power, love, and commitment to draw men unto Himself. We return all glory to God for a successful outreach. Hallelujah!
