On our fifth day of street evangelism, we set out with great anticipation, aiming to reach the heart of Abeokuta ahead of our upcoming crusade. Starting from Asero Estate Football Field at 11:30 AM, we moved through the city with purpose, making our way towards Ake, Abeokuta. Earlier that day, we had earnestly prayed for favorable weather, and God answered, softening the sun’s intensity and shielding us from its midday heat.
The team, united and equipped with flyers, banners, and an energized sound system, engaged with everyone we encountered along the route. The worship music and outreach messages filled the atmosphere, drawing people to listen, ask questions, and receive invitations to the crusade. Many were visibly moved, eagerly accepting our flyers and invitations, and some expressed excitement for the upcoming event.
As we progressed, the team split into smaller groups to cover more ground, sharing the Gospel with as many people as possible. The responses were varied: some listened intently, others asked for more information, and a few chose not to engage. Despite the different reactions, we felt the presence of God at every turn, guiding our steps and leading us to those with open hearts.
By the end of the evangelism, our mission felt accomplished, with countless seeds of faith sown across Abeokuta. We concluded around 2:30 PM with thanksgiving, rejoicing in all that God had done through us that day.
