Day 2: Honoring the Elders
The second day brought a new dimension to the crusade as notable elders from Asero graced the gathering. Their presence symbolized a bridge between generations, underscoring the inclusive nature of the gospel and its ability to unite people across all divides.
The elders were welcomed warmly, recognizing their role as custodians of the community’s spiritual and cultural heritage. Their participation was a testimony to the respect and impact the crusade had garnered within the community. Worship and prayers on this day continued to deepen, with teachings that inspired hope and commitment to God.
The Word for the day was delivered by Olalekan Kola, who gave an extensive teaching on the fruits of the Spirit. Drawing from the anchor text, Galatians 5:22-23, he emphasized that the evidence of being a Christian is the nature of Christ, not just the demonstration of power or speaking in tongues. His sermon resonated with both the elders and the younger generation, inspiring all to reflect the character of Christ in their daily lives.
