To the glory of God, our outreach at Omida, Abeokuta was a divine encounter and one that will not be forgotten in a hurry. It was an atmosphere filled with worship, heartfelt prayers, and soul-winning as lives were transformed by the power of God.
The outreach began with a powerful opening worship session led by Brother Gbenga Banjoko, who ushered the atmosphere into deep reverence and connection with God through spirit-filled worship. Following that, a fervent prayer session was led by Brother Daniel Babalola, who lifted up intercessory prayers over the land of Omida, its inhabitants, and every soul that was present. Indeed, the ground was spiritually prepared for the move of God.
The word of God came with great power through God’s servant, Mr. Olalekan Kola, who preached on the message titled “The King Is Inviting You”, taking the anchor scripture from Matthew 22. He emphasized that the King of Kings—Jesus Christ—is extending an open invitation to everyone, regardless of age, background, or past.
He stated that “God is not a scam; He means every word He says. A time is coming when every man will leave this earth and cross into eternity, and only those who have received the invitation of the King will dine with Him in glory.”
Who is the King That Is Inviting You?
Referencing Genesis 1, he taught that:
The King of Kings is the God of Heaven—the Creator of all things, the God of all flesh, the One who has power over everything. He is the Miracle Working God.
Where is the King Inviting You To?
Quoting John 14:1–4 (KJV):
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
He explained that Jesus has gone ahead to prepare a place for us—a place of peace, joy, no sickness, no poverty—a kingdom built by the glory of God. He also emphasized that:
“The kingdom of God is not in meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” – Romans 14:17 (KJV)
An Invitation to Salvation
In his words:
“God loves you so much and He has not condemned you. Instead, He is inviting you to come to Him. All you have to do is believe.”
He backed this with John 1:12 (KJV):
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
He also warned about the tragic consequence of rejecting God’s invitation according to John 3:18 (KJV):
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
He concluded by saying that only those clothed in the wedding garment, which is the garment of righteousness, will enter the Kingdom of God.
Altar Call, Healing & Blessings
The message ended with a heartfelt altar call as souls surrendered their lives to Jesus. God’s servant then prayed for the sick, and many testified to God’s healing power. He also prophetically declared blessings over the land of Omida and its people. The outreach came to a close with the timeless hymn “I Am Thine, O Lord”. This hymn is a heartfelt consecration song expressing a deep longing to draw nearer to God, surrender fully to His will, and remain in constant fellowship with Him—a perfect conclusion to a night of salvation, revival, and rededication.
To God alone be all the glory for the success of the outreach! Hallelujah!
