CASE STUDY

Jesus and His disciples in the boat – Mathew 8:23-27

At a time of uncertainty, when the disciples thought it as the end of the world, Jesus thought a powerful lesson – stillness. He was asleep when the disciples were trembling at the raging storm. They were clueless and didn’t know what to do. They suddenly remembered they had the Prince of Peace in their boat. Are you troubled, afraid, or confused? Know that you have the Prince of Peace on your inside. All you need to do is to call on Him and every turbulence shall remain still.

Compare the account of Matthew 8:23-27 with Mark 4:35-40

HOW TO RECEIVE THE PEACE OF GOD?

a. Be anxious for nothing. That is don’t worry about anything. Philippians 4:6-7.

b. Call on the Master [Jesus] when you find yourself in a turbulent situation.

c. Reject the peace of this world. John 14:27.

d. Live/be at peace with all men.

Hebrews 12:14 – Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Luke 17:1 – Then said he unto the disciples, it is impossible but that offenses will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
