On April 21, 2024, 6dwthg held an outreach at Asero Estate, Abeokuta, with the powerful theme “This Jesus.” From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the focus was to introduce and reintroduce the community to the life-transforming power of Jesus Christ. The day was filled with an overwhelming sense of purpose, as the team gathered to proclaim the message of salvation to all who would listen.
As the outreach began, the streets of Asero Estate came alive with music and prayer. The sound of worship drew residents out of their homes, and many approached with curiosity and open hearts. The message was simple yet profound: “This Jesus,” the One who died and rose again, is alive and is still in the business of transforming lives.
God’s Servant – Daniel – spoke passionately about the person of Jesus — His love, sacrifice, and offer of eternal life. They shared testimonies of how encountering Christ had changed their lives, emphasizing that the same Jesus is available to everyone, regardless of their background or past mistakes.
A memorable part of the outreach occurred when a middle-aged man, after listening to the message for a while, stepped forward and began to ask questions about Jesus. He had been grappling with doubts and confusion for years, unsure about the relevance of faith in his life. The evangelists patiently answered his questions, explaining the grace and truth found in Christ. After much discussion, he made the decision to follow Jesus, experiencing the peace he had long sought.
Throughout the outreach, many others encountered “This Jesus” in personal and powerful ways. Some shared stories of hardship, illness, and family struggles, but left encouraged by the hope offered in Christ. The team prayed with many individuals, including women who came forward seeking restoration for their families and healing for their bodies. Several testified of feeling immediate relief and peace after receiving prayer.
By the close of the outreach, the message of “This Jesus” had clearly touched many lives. Several individuals accepted Christ, while others recommitted themselves to following Him. The outreach ended with a prayer of thanksgiving and a prophetic declaration that Jesus would continue to reveal Himself to the people of Asero Estate in the coming days.
